  This book provides the cyclist in Ireland with a guide to the best and most enjoyable routes in the country. The basis of the book is a 35-day grand cycling tour of the whole island, concentrating on coastal routes which cover every maritime county in Ireland. Each daily segment of the grand tour comprises about 40 miles (65km). In addition, the author describes spur routes and other variations which are focused on major urban centres along the way. In all over 50 routes are described. Hints and tips about the weather, cycle hire, rules of the road and other practical information is also included.
