  This is the third volume of photographs from the collection of the late Norman Lockett. The book covers steam on the main lines from Southampton, along the south coast to Bournemouth and Weymouth, and from Salisbury to Exeter. Several rural branch lines are also visited, including those to Swanage and Lyme Regis. Examples of most main line classes of locomotive used by British Rail Southern Region are included and famous, prestige, named trains such as the Bournemouth Belle , Devon Belle and Atlantic Coast Express are illustrated. There are informative and interesting captions by well-known railway enthusiast, Mike Arlett.
