Author Bio
Hugh Muir is diary editor and a columnist on the Guardian. He joined the Guardian in 2004 as a senior news reporter and a specialist on London and its politics. He has also worked at The Mail on Sunday, the Daily Telegraph, the BBC and the Evening Standard. Shami Chakrabarti has been director of Liberty since September 2003. A barrister by background, she worked at the home office for five years, before joining Liberty as in-house counsel in 2001. She is chancellor of Oxford Brookes University and a governor of the London School of Economics and the British Film Institute.
