Author Bio
Paul Pedley is Head of Research at the Economist Intelligence Unit. Prior to this Paul was Library & Information Services Manager at the law firm Theodore Goddard. Paul has also worked for the developers of Canary Wharf in London's docklands, and in government libraries at the Department of Trade and Industry, the Office of Telecommunications (OFTEL) and the Property Services Agency. Paul is a Fellow of the Library Association, current chairperson of the Aslib Economics and Business Information Group (AEBIG), and he is a former chair of the Industrial and Commercial Libraries Group of the Library Association, the City Legal Information Group and the Property Information Group. He is a special libraries' representative on the Library Association Copyright Alliance. Paul is the author of Free business and industry information on the web , published by Aslib; as well as two Aslib Know How Guides - Copyright for library and information service professionals and Intranets and push technology - creating an information sharing environment . He has also contributed to the 3rd edition of Aslib's Copyright made easier , and to the Handbook of information management (formerly known as the Handbook of special librarianship and information work ).
