Author Bio
As a young woman, Sally Swift taught riding professionally but moved on to a career as an administrator. At the age of 62, she retired and returned to her passion - teaching riding - with the courage to use the awareness she had learned earlier in life, but until then had only applied to herself. This awareness of the body - mind connection, and its importance to the mechanics of riding well, began to take hold, the word soon spread far and wide about Sally's Centered Riding methods. This book was published in 1985 and became one of the best-selling horse books of all time. Sally went on to found the organization Centered Riding Inc. (www.centeredriding.org) which has approved over 1,000 instructors.
