Author Bio
Maria Belknap was born and spent most of her youth in Oregon. By the time she was 18, she had worked as a cattle driver, wagoner and horse ranger in the wildernesses of eastern Oregon and Idaho. She obtained degrees in resource management, kinesiology and coaching and has travelled and ridden extensively worldwide. Maria Belknap is experienced in a number of riding disciplines. As a result of her lifelong multi-disciplinary equine interests, Maria sought out a dictionary that was also multi-disciplinary in its approach but was unable to find one. She then decided to write her own. Currently dividing her time between her ranch in central Oregon and Los Angeles, Maria writes for the adventure travel and equine markets as well as television and film. Her other works include the Horseman's English/Spanish Dictionary, Horseman's German/English Dictionary and the Bar & Restaurant English/Spanish Dictionary.
