Author Bio
Alison Pocklington has been involved with horses and ponies since she was ten years old. When she left school she went to The Yorkshire Riding Centre to train for her BHS qualifications. She became Christopher Bartle's competition groom, which has meant that she has groomed at top-level eventing and dressage competitions around the world. She competes herself, producing young horses up to two-star level. Recently she has also started to train and ride point-to-pointers. Alison has spent time riding and teaching in Australia and Jamaica and she trains students for competition and examinations at The Yorkshire Riding Centre. In 2000 she was voted Horse & Hound groom of the year.
