OK. You're in charge. Everything's under control, the buck stops here. You know exactly what you are doing. Surprisingly, that isn't how most of us feel when we take over as leaders, even years down the line. We are only too aware of our shortcomings and failures, convinced there must be someone better to do the job. When the people look to us, how do we know where to lead them, what words to say? How do we organise and plan, handle opposition, delegate? When the people look to us, who do we look to? With wisdom and sharp biblical insight, John White points to the life of Nehemiah, showing us a man of prayer and a man of action; a firm leader and a servant of his people; a realist and a visionary, and above all, a man of God.
