Wind Shift

Wind Shift

by Andrea De Carlo (Author)

Synopsis

Two men and two women - successful Milanese professionals and lifelong friends - set of from the northern business capital of Italy on a Friday afternoon together with their insincere estate agent. Their aim is to visit a secluded rural property in Umbria (Central Italy) that they intend to buy and renovate into country homes. But when they have almost reached their destination, they lose their way along unmade roads in the midst of hills thick with woods - and their car ends up in a ditch. To worsen things, their mobile phones have no coverage, night is falling, and it starts to rain. This is the start of a novel in which the author merges perspectives shifting to one or other of the five characters, following the leitmotif of a tense plot and constructing a choral novel, highly actual and keenly enthralling.
