Dorian Weisel --whose photographs documenting Hawaii's active Kilauea volcano have been exhibited and published worldwide--lives in Volcano, Hawaii. Carl Johnson is an associate professor of geology at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. He and his family live on the summit of Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes.
