Richard Garrigues is one of the preeminent birding guides in Costa Rica, with more than twenty-five years' experience leading birding and natural history tours.He is the author of The Birds of Costa Rica: A Field Guide, second edition, illustrated by Robert Dean, and Photo Guide to Birds of Costa Rica, both from Cornell. George Angehr is a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama and the coauthor of A Bird-Finding Guide to Panama, also from Cornell. Robert Dean is the coauthor of The Wildlife of Costa Rica: A Field Guide and the illustrator of The Birds of Costa Rica: A Field Guide, both from Cornell.
