Mark L. Chambers is a hardware technician, programmer, computer consultant, and well--known computer book author. He is the author of Building a PC For Dummies, Recordable CD Bible, and the Official Netscape Guide to Web Animation. Mark L. Chambers has been an author, computer consultant, BBS sysop, programmer, and hardwaretechnician for more than 15 years. His first love affair with a computer peripheral blossomedin 1984, when he bought his high--tech 300 bps modem ---- now he spends entirely too much time onthe Internet. His favorite pastimes include watching LSU football, collecting gargoyles, playing his three pinball machines, fixing and upgrading computers, playing the latest computergames, and rendering 3D flights of fancy ---- and during all that, he listens to just about everytype of music imaginable. With degrees in journalism and creative writing from Louisiana State University, Mark took thelogical career choice and started programming computers... However, after five years as aCOBOL programmer for a hospital system, he decided that there must be a better way to earn aliving, and he became the documentation manager for a well--known communications softwaredeveloper.
