Author Bio
Lewis Carroll (1832-1898) is the pen name of British author, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. Although Carroll was a respected mathematician, he began to pursue photography, often choosing children as the subject of his portraits. One of his favourite models was a young girl named Alice Liddell, who later became the basis for Carroll's fictional character, Alice. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was published in 1865, followed by Through the Looking Glass in 1872.
