Tilly Trotter Widowed

Tilly Trotter Widowed

by Catherine Cookson (Author)

Synopsis

Tilly Trotter's life has been far from easy, and returning from America to the County Durham village she grew up in only makes it harder. Despite her new status as Lady of Highfield Manor the old prejudices still exist. Branded a witch by the locals, hostility towards Tilly, and her children -- Willy and adopted Mexican daughter Josefina -- is rife. Thankfully, there are those willing to defend her. In fact there are those who long to offer her the security of marriage. But Tilly, bound by a promise to her late husband, is unsure that she can re-marry. And she's not the only one struggling with matters of the heart; both Willy and Josefina are facing love dilemmas of their own. But Tilly, courageous as ever, is determined, no matter what, that, she and her children will find happiness!
