Synopsis

It's the sixties, and sixteen-year-old Carole Mason and her friend Naomi set out to lose their virginlty to Eddle Lindbaeck, a man they barely know. But things go badly wrong and, in the end, a woman lies dead in a motel. Eddle convinces the naive, overweight Carole to help them bury the woman in the snow behind the motel. He also convinces her that she is responsible for the death. Ten years later Carole is beautiful, successful and confident, but she is still haunted by her secret. When Naomi and Eddle, now a couple, move to her town and threaten exposure, her new life is thrown into turmoil. Gradually Carole is able to come to terms with what really happened, seeking out revenge and finally redemption.
