Planning for Retirement

Planning for Retirement

by RobertAllen (Author)

Synopsis

The Baby Boomers of the 1950s are now approaching retirement age but they have no intention of going quietly. They are the people who in the early '60s invented the Youth Generation and, though they have aged physically, many of them have the same enthusiasm they had 30 or 40 years ago. They still find life interesting and want more of it - a lot more. Medical science has ensured that. Life expectancy has been increasing for years and will continue to do so. Planning for Retirement looks at all aspects of what to do in later life - from phasing yourself out of work to thinking about possible retraining, further education, community work, or travelling, to health and fitness, hobbies, keeping your mind active, financial planning and family relationships. It also considers the down side of things, such as coping with prolonged ill health and organising your affairs so that matters are not complicated for those you leave behind when you die. Plus there is a final look at what the future holds in terms of scientific discoveries that may prolong our lives and what the impact on society may be. Planning for Retirement is the ultimate guide to making the life you want in later years and keeping the Zimmer frame at bay!
