Synopsis

Sally Grindley is the award-winning author of over a dozen picture books including Shhh! (Andersen), winner of the UK's Children's Book Award, I Don't Want To (Little, Brown), and Wake Up Dad (Doubleday). She also writes novels for older children - including the Smarties Prize winner Spilled Water. Sally has two previous titles in the I Am Reading series Captain Pepper's Pets and The Perfect Monster which was shortlisted for the 2006 Nottingham Book Award. Sally lives in Cheltenham, Gloucester. Wendy Smith is the popular writer and illustrator of many books, including The Fit Fat Cat, The Lonely, Only Mouse (Hamish Hamilton) and Say Hello, Tilly! (Macmillan). She has also illustrated many books by other authors, such as Margaret Mahy's Keeping House (Hamish Hamilton) and Tick Tock Tales (Orion). Wendy lives in Exeter, Devon.
