Author Bio
Sally Grindley is the award-winning author of over a dozen picture books including Shhh! (Andersen), winner of the UK's Children's Book Award, I Don't Want To (Little, Brown), and Wake Up Dad (Doubleday). She also writes novels for older children - including Smarties Prize Winner Spilled Water. Sally has three previous titles in the I Am Reading series The Giant Postman, Captain Pepper's Pets and The Perfect Monster which was short-listed for the 2006 Nottingham Book Award. Sally lives in Cheltenham, Gloucester. Penny Dann has enjoyed a hugely successful career illustrating children's books. Her witty, lively watercolours have added character to many picture books, such as Roger McGough's Moonthief, and she has also written her own stories. Penny lives in Brighton when she is not travelling the world.
