Harvey the Gardener

by Lars Klinting (Author), Lars Klinting (Illustrator)

Synopsis

You'll love Harvey - the busiest beaver in the world! Harvey's flower has wilted in its windowbox. Time to plant another, thinks Harvey. But what shall he plant? Then he notices a dried bean on the floor that has dropped from his shopping bag. That's what I'll grow, thinks Harvey - beans have lovely flowers and after the flowers the new beans come and you can eat them! Young readers will love following along, planting the beans and watching them grow and even learning how to cook them. At the end of the book, there are instructions for planting and tending your own beans and drawings of all the different types you can grow.
