Synopsis

Find out about clever cats, daft dogs and very unlucky turtles! Children love pets and there are plenty to choose from in this fun-filled collection of stories! A cat discovers that humans are good to have around, a dog rescues his owner from an embarrassing situation, a turtle takes an unexpected trip and much more. Read about ponies, gerbils, snakes and even a herd of giraffes. It's no wonder that King Kevin can't decide what would make his perfect pet! With contributions from popular, prize-winning authors such as Dick King-Smith, Joan Aiken, Helen Cresswell, Judy Blume, Betsy Byars and Ted Hughes, and endearing illustrations which perfectly capture the humour of the stories, this is an anthology to delight any young animal-lover.
