Author Bio
Sally Grindley is the author of many best-selling titles including Why is the Sky Blue? (Andersen) and I Don't Want To (Methuen). Shhh! won the Children's Book Award and was shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize - as was Peter's Place (both Andersen). Her most recent Kingfisher titles, The Giant Postman and Captain Pepper's Pets, are published as part of the I Am Reading series. An accomplished anthologist, she has compiled four Stories for the Very Young collections for Kingfisher, as well as The Kingfisher Book of Magical Tales. She lives in Gloucestershire with her three sons. Penny Dann's reputation as an illustrator has grown steadily since she graduated from the Brighton School of Art and Design. She has over thirty successful children's titles to her name including: The Secret Fairy Handbook (Orchard), Stories for Bedtime (Orchard), How Green Are You? (Frances Lincoln) and Read Me a Story, Please (Orion), a story collection chosen by Wendy Cooling. Penny Dann lives in Brighton.
