But as he starts to search for the other pieces of the puzzle, he quickly realizes that this single, explosive piece of film could destroy him all over again. Soon he's on the run from people who want the lid put very firmly back on the past. His only option is to restore his memory - however painful it turns out to be - and find the whole truth before it kills him.

Media Reviews
...the story catches one up in it for the duration and author has been a documentary editor and film maker himself, making the background authoritative. A thriller that really does thrill. -- Jessica Mann LITERARY REVIEW There's a convincing plot here, full of twists and turns. -- Mark Timlin THE INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY A conspiracy thriller I can happily recommend to fans of Robert Goddard. -- Mat Coward MORNING STAR Peter Grimsdale can tell a convincing story with writing that is cliche-free and utterly enthralling. THE GUARDIAN This intelligently written first novel keeps the reader guessing throughout. A good combination mystery/thriller. DEADLY PLEASURES Peter Grimsdale, a former TV journalist and executive, makes his impressive debut as a novelist with Perfect Night. A thrillingly good read that certainly doesn't come across like a first novel. Given Grimsdale's TV past the details about Nick's past on a World in Action or This Week style investigative show certainly ring true. He throws in more than enough twists and turns to keep you well hooked. A fast paced story of Robert Goddard-esque proportions. MEMORABLE TV.COM
