Eamonn Holmes was born in Belfast. After becoming the youngest ever anchor on regional television, he moved to the UK to present GMTV and for twelve years pulled in daily viewing figures of 6 million. However, in February 2005 he announced his decision to leave the show. He currently presents a number of prime time shows for BBC 1, has his own radio programme on 5 LIVE and launched SKY NEWS BREAKFAST in Autumn 2005. He has four children and lives in London with his family and partner.
