Book Overview: THE BEST OF MATT is a solid Christmas seller and a core stock item for every humour section. The terrific success of 10 YEARS OF MATT (which reprinted five times in the first three months of publication and is still selling on) proves there is a very wide readership for Matt's cartoons. The MINI MATT special editions have also sold very well. Not only the best of the daily cartoonists, Matt is also an award winner - three times winner of the UK Press Awards Cartoonist of the Year, four times winner of the Cartoon Arts Trust Pocket Cartoonist of the Year award, and in 2002 he received an MBE. 'The best by a long way' Nicholas Garland. 'That rare thing: a daily cartoonist who never fails' The Times. 'I stand in silent wonder every morning at the genius of Matt' Jeremy Clarkson, Sunday Times. 'The Best of Matt, Matt's Town and Country and Matt's Modern Times are essential compilations by Britain's top newspaper cartoonist' Independent. 'No one can be funny every time - except Matt' John Humphrys.
