Book Overview: A taut thriller full of action and suspense that will leave you wondering if it might be happening now. Stephen Coonts's sales are increasing with every book. He is one of the few younger adventure thriller writers who can go on to threaten Clancy's dominance. LIBERTY is one of the first thrillers to deal with the post-September 11th world. Coonts is one of the few writers with the credibility and skill to deal with the subject expertly. His previous novel, SAUCER, has been the most successful Coonts novel to date, reaching number 11 in the bestseller charts. All his thrillers received terrific reviews: 'Stephen Coonts, like Jake Grafton, just keeps getting better' Tom Clancy 'Crammed with action [and] suspense' USA Today '[Coonts'] gripping, first-person narration of aerial combat is the best I've ever read. Once begun, this book cannot be laid aside' Wall Street Journal 'Mr Coonts knows how to write and build suspense. His dialogue is realistic, the storyline mesmeric. That is the mark of a natural storyteller' New York Times Book Review
