Author Bio
Maeve Binchy was born in Dublin and came to fame first as London Correspondent for the Irish Times. Her first novel, Light A Penny Candle made her famous in the UK and USA. She lives in Dublin with her husband, Gordon Snell. Kate Binchy, Maeve's cousin, has performed extensively in all media. West End theatre includes Playboy Of The Western World and The Seagull and she has appeared at the Royal Court, Bush, BAC and Tricycle in London, Traverse in Edinburgh and Olympia in Dublin. Numerous television appearances include Ruth Rendell, Father Ted, Peak Practice, Casualty, The Chief and Poirot. She has appeared in over 500 radio plays. Films include Mrs Dalloway and The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne.
