Author Bio
John Jackson joined-up a few days after the First World War was declared. He joined the Cameron Highlanders and fought in the trenches at the Battle of Loos, the Somme, Passchendale and lived to tell the tale. He wrote up his memoir in 1926 basing it on the diary he kept throughout the war and his vivid recollections of the conflict. It has remained unpublished until now.
