Nashville

by PatBooth (Author)

Synopsis

Savanna is 19 and the apple of her father's eye. He is stunned when she suddenly announces that she doesn't want to continue her studies in medicine, but go to Nashville and become a songwriter (like her cousin Stephanie) and country singer. Her father is furious and forbids her and then cuts off her income when she decides to go anyway. Savanna doesn't find it as easy as she had thought it would be. But after a couple of years of living in almost poverty, scraping a living by waitressing etc, she writes a song that she KNOWS is going to make it. She takes it to current top country singer, Dwight Deacon, who loves and records it - but then claims that he has written it himself. Savanna pursues Dwight who, after succumbing to her charms rather than her anger, publicly admits that it is she who wrote the song - and she finally achieves her aim to become a success in Nashville.
