Richard Dale is Professor Emeritus of International Banking at the University of Southampton. He was previously an associate director of NM Rothschild and Sons, a Rockefeller International Relations Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC and a Senior Houlbon Norman Fellow of the Bank of England. His previous books include The First Crash: Lessons from the South Sea Bubble.
