C.S.Knighton was like Samuel Pepys, educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge. He compiled the Modern Manuscripts catalogue of the Pepy's Library at Magdalene and assisted the late Robert Latham in making the selection from the new edition of the diary. The Shorter Pepys.
