Higher Engineering Mathematics

Higher Engineering Mathematics

by John Bird BSc (Hons) CEng CMath CSci FIET MIE (Author)

Synopsis

Includes over 800 worked examples and 1,500 problems. John Bird's approach, based on numerous worked examples supported by problems, is ideal for students from a wide range of academic backgrounds, and can be worked though at the student's own pace. This has been proved by the thousands of students guided to exam success by previous editions of this book and the highly popular companion title Engineering Mathematics. A wide and thorough topic coverage makes this an ideal text for a wide range of degree modules and institution-devised HNC/D units. However, it has been written to match specifically the final specifications of the set units from Edexcel for the new Higher National scheme: Analytical Methods for Engineers (core unit: 21717P); Further Analytical Methods for Engineers (21775P); Engineering Mathematics (21766P). It is also suitable for the 'phase 1' Higher National units (9500M, 9529M). ADOPTING LECTURERS Lecturers adopting 'Higher Engineering Mathematics' as their main course text can obtain a free 150 page Instructors Manual comprising worked solutions and a mark scheme for the Assignments in the student text. Please e-mail nishma.shah@repp.co.uk with full name, job title, adopting institution, student numbers and full work mailing details. Pack will be despatched within 24 hours of request.
