Beside the Sea (Changes)

Beside the Sea (Changes)

by Liz Gogerly (Author)

Synopsis

This book uses a variety of pictures (for example, photos, paintings, objects and postcards) to look at different aspects of the seaside in the past - from what people wore and ate to the activities they enjoyed. It has pictures from the Victorian period to present day, so the young reader can make comparisons between then and now. Notes at the back for teachers and parents give some more information about the pictures and suggest questions that could be asked about them when reading the book together with the child.
