by Stewart Ross (Author), Sue Shields (Illustrator)

Synopsis

These biographical picture books are designed to give young children a friendly introduction to history. This is the story of clever Cleo - princess of Egypt. When her dad, King Pot dies, she's forced to share the throne with her brother Tolly. The fights soon start - Tolly doesn't like her cat, and worse, he's got his beefy friends, and together they push Cleo off the throne. But luckily for Cleo, Jules the super soldier is in town, and Cleo has a really clever idea for getting him to help her. This story is about the Egyptian queen, with an abundance of historical detail in the illustrations, and plenty of amusement to be had with the speech bubbles. A did you know? list at the back offers interesting facts about the character and notes are included for parents or teachers.
