Synopsis

Each book ends with suggested activities, useful words, index and notes about the book. In Materials, the reader joins Alex as he prepares for a party and a barbecue, looking at all the materials he uses to make sure the event is a success. In Water, Ruth and her friend Shushi in a paddling pool where they make all sorts of discoveries about water, including how it moves and the uses we put it to.
