Earl Inkblot's Big Night (Court of Queen Elizabeth)

by KarenWallace (Author), JaneCope (Illustrator)

Synopsis

AT THE COURT OF QUEEN ELIZABETH is a new historical fiction series set in Elizabeth I's court - where everyone lives in fear of the Queen's temper and in hope of her favour. Each story concerns the same group of people so a soap opera element develops. A different aspect of Tudor court life is brought in to each title. Line ilustrations throughout the books are full of historical detail and humour. Large scenes and diagrams add extra information where appropriate. In EARL INKBLOT'S BIG NIGHT, Earl Inkblot is putting on a play to impress the Queen. Unfortunately, the young boy set to play the heroine is ill and old ugly Earl Inkblot has to put a frock on and take on the role. The Queen hasn't had such a good time since Lord Roderick married his horse.
