Author Bio
Chris Pierce is Director of IoD International and Acting Director of Director Development at the IoD in London. Since 1999 he has also been the Programme Director for the Japan Management Association/IoD Company Direction Programme in Tokyo. Extensively published, he developed the first examination for company directors in the UK in 1996 and is closely involved in the development of the global Chartered Director Initiative. Kerrie Waring is a senior executive within IoD International and has had held many international management posts, including that of local government co-ordinator of international relations in Hiroshima.
