Managing change involves dealing with the unexpected. This volume contains a wide variety of activities for trainers to use in their courses and programmes with managers who must introduce and manage changes in the workplace. All aspects of change are covered, such as stress, redundancy, retirement, creative thought, information technology, leadership and teamwork. The activities in the first section are designed to promote good group cohesion on a training programme. The remaining three sections cover respectively: managing the process of change, ie activities which address strategic, political, or organizational change; helping others to face up to, manage and introduce change; and activities to support individuals at a personal level as they confront change. Each activity is presented in a standardized way with full information provided on: the objectives, the number of participants required, timing guidelines, resources needed, methods, how to run the activity, photocopiable handouts and observer sheets required, and trainer's notes.
