It is written as four modules - number, handling information, shape and space, and language of mathematics - each of which is made up of a number of chapters containing exercises of general and vocational interest. Solutions are provided to help students to identify problems and to demonstrate correct layout, and each chapter concludes with a summary of what has been learnt, followed by further vocationally-orientated questions. The use of calculators is encouraged and explained.
