Synopsis

Investigating Food is a textbook for pupils following food studies courses for GCSE Home Economics. All major topics are covered, and investigations are included to encourage pupils to find out more for themselves and practise the skills required for GCSE. There are three investigation levels. Level 1 provides pupils with information and guidance in their collection and recording of data. Level 2 gives the pupil a brief, and suggests possible methods of carrying it out. Level 3 provides an area of study, but leaves the interpretation and direction of the investigation up to the individual.
