Seal of Solomon: Alfred Kropp 2

Seal of Solomon: Alfred Kropp 2

by RickYancey (Author)

Synopsis

Alfred Kropp is off on another whirlwind adventure when two ancient artefacts are stolen from the OIPEP (Office of Interdimensional Paradoxes and Extraordinary Phenomena) vaults. But these aren't just any pricey museum pieces - they are the seals of Solomon. Thousands of years ago, King Solomon used a ring to control and imprison the fallen angels of heaven in a sacred vessel that has held them safe for thousands of years. Now both objects have been stolen by Mike Arnold, and if he uses their power, all hell could break loose ...literally. The agents of OIPEP, led by the mysterious Op-Nine, have a plan to save the artefacts, and the world, but none of them really considered the Kropp factor. When Alfred screws up, the ring ends up in the hands of King Paimon, a terrible demon who has a special bone to pick with our reluctant hero. Will Alfred find a way to right his wrong and save the world from imminent destruction ...again?

Media Reviews
PRAISE FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURES OF ALFRED KROPP 'The story of how under-achieving Alfred brings the Arthurian legend up to date is fast-moving, funny and wonderful fuel for junior compensatory day-dreams.' Nick Tucker, Independent 'An action-packed read, with plenty of blood, intrigue and men in suits to please a generation used to the Tom Clancy prefix before their videogames. Perfect kidult movie fodder once a certain boy wizard is out of the limelight.' SFX magazine 'An outsize teenage descendent of Sir Lancelot engages in James-Bond style exploits in this bizarre but entertaining contemporary American take on Arthurian legends. Lively adolescent appeal.' Kate Agnew, Guardian Children's Supplement 'Great characters, thrilling sword fight scenes, a terrific plot with plenty of twists and turns and a great climax. I simply couldn't put it down, and I'll bet plenty of other boy readers will feel just the same.' TES
