Synopsis

The house is darkened and dad comes home at the end of the week. Everybody is asleep except for the youngest baby of the house. So dad picks him up and takes him on a journey through the sleeping house, looking in on the cat, brother and mum, until dad himself is so tired that he collapses with baby on the sofa downstairs, to be woken up, still there the next morning by the rest of the family! This is a supremely gentle and tender story. It is perfect for parents everywhere.

The Author: Tony Bradman is a very popular author of both fiction and poetry for young readers. He is the author of the phenomenally successful series Dilly the Dinosaur, as well as the Swoppers series for Bloomsbury, and also the compiler of very successful poetry anthologies such as Smile, Please! He is constantly in demand for talks, school visits, events and literary festivals. Tony lives in Kent. The illustrator: Jason Cockcroft is a supremely talented illustrator. He won the first ever Blue Peter Award in 2000 with 'A Pilgrim's Progress'. He lives in Addingham, West Yorkshire.
