The emphasis throughout is on learning through practice and each book contains projects to help readers develop new skills. The series provides a fully worked course in art, though each book is complete in itself and all are written by practising artists and teachers. It is aimed at the leisure artist, but all projects and techniques have been tested by amateur artists to ensure that they are explained correctly and comprehensively.
