The extraordinary life story of one of the greatest entertainers in the world. Tom Jones grew up in a tiny South Wales mining village and shot to superstardom with hits such as 'It's Not Unusual' and 'Delilah'. Now a millionaire living in Los Angeles, Tom Jones has maintained his huge popularity over four decades, culminating in his new status as an icon of twenty-first century cool and winner of the coveted Brit Award for Best Male Vocalist in 2000. Robin Eggar has talked to friends, family, business associates, and to Tom himself, and builds a rounded portrait of a pop legend, the sixtysomething sex symbol with a fantastic voice whose life is still completely dedicated to singing.
