Mischief

Mischief

by Mark Bastable (Author)

Synopsis

It begins one spring evening in a splash of blood-red, when a famous comedian is shot getting out of his limo. No one sees the assailant, or the paintball gun used to splatter the helpless stand-up with two pints of Dulux Crimson Rose. Now it seems that no TV funny-man, no fitness guru, no gameshow hostess is safe from Mischief, the anonymous prankster determined to play practical jokes on public figures in a most humiliating and hilarious manner. Journalist Christina Bell is in pursuit. Her paper wants to know who's behind it, and Chris knows it's the biggest story of her career. The police are pretending to take it seriously, and the public are getting involved. Chris's ex, Mason, has become obsessed with unveiling Mischief. He believes the victims have something in common, and if he could only concentrate, rather than mope over his screwed up life, he might be able to figure it out. After all, he has Elvis Presley on his side. How can he fail?
