Synopsis

Here is a selection of well-known tales from the Christian tradition, such as those of Christopher, Patrick and Francis, along with the lesser-known Cinderella Saint, A Fisher Princess, The Tale of the Three Trees, and The Legend of the River That Disappeared. They are simple yet profound tales with thought-provoking themes of generosity, humility, neighbourliness, true greatness, self sacrifice, courage and love. Grown-ups will enjoy revisiting them and sharing them with children who encounter them for the first time.

Author Bio
LOIS ROCK has established an international reputation as a children's writer. Specialising in Bible stories, prayer books, and information books, her books have been translated into over 30 languages with sales approaching 4 million copies. She draws on her experience as a mother of three, and as a leader of church children's groups. Christina Balit is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. An acclaimed children's book artist, she has always longed to illustrate the Bible. She has received widespread praise for books including Blodin the Beast, Ishtar and Tammuz and The Twelve Labours of Hercules. Of British and Armenian descent, Christina spent her childhood years in the ancient lands of the Middle East --- the very landscapes where so many of the Bible's tales are set.
