WALTER WANGERIN JR. has written many novels and short stories for adults and children. His story, The Book of the Dun Cow, won the National Book Award in the USA. He has since won many other awards for his books, which include Ragman and Other Stories of Faith, The Book of Sorrows and Paul: A Novel. He is writer-in-residence at Valparaiso University. He and his wife live in Valparaiso, Indiana, USA.
