John Lea is Honorary Professor of Criminology at the University of Leicester. He is the author of Crime and Modernity: Continuities in Left Realist Criminology (Sage, 2002). Instrumental in the development of Left Realist Criminology, he is the co-author of What is to Be Done about Law and Order?: Crisis in the Nineties (Pluto, 1993). Jock Young is Professor of Criminology and Head of the Centre for Criminology at Middlesex University.
