Author Bio
Diana Hendry is a poet and the author of numerous stories for young readers, including Harvey Angell, winner of the Whitbread Children's Novel Award. Among her other titles for young readers are the picture book Dog Dottington and the chapter books Fiona Says...; Wonderful Robert and Sweetie-Pie Nell; Flower Street Friends and Midnight Pirate, Midnight Party. She is also the author of novels for older readers, including Double Vision and Minders and two volumes of poetry, one for adults and one for children. John Lawrence has contributed to over one hundred books for children and adults as an illustrator and wood-engraver. Twice Winner of the Francis Williams Book Illustration Award, his illustrated titles include The Mysteries of Zigomar by Allan Ahlberg; Christmas in Exeter Street, the Walker Treasure A Year and a Day and the picture book This Little Chick.
