One Tiny Turtle (Read & Wonder)

by Davies Nicola (Author), Chapman Jane (Author)

Synopsis

Far, far out to sea, hidden among the weeds, one tiny turtle swims...For years, unseen by human eyes, turtles wander the seas in search of food, travelling thousands and thousands of miles. Until at last, guided by the stars, they arrive at the same beach where they were born, to mate and lay their eggs. This is the fascinating story of one tiny turtle's journey. Lovingly described, with sublimely atmospheric illustrations, this book will fill children and adults alike with awe.

Media Reviews
If only all natural history books were as well-pitched as this introduction to the Loggerhead turtle. It's full of useful facts... a good read, too. Lots of turtle empathy, and illustrations full of soft tones and watery depth. The Independent
