Author Bio
Sarah Hayes says, a story is something made up but some of the things that go into it are real. Sam is based on her own son, Felix, when he was small, and the circus stunts are things that she has seen and wished that she could do. Sarah is the author of more than twenty titles for Walker. These include the bestselling This Is the Bear books, and Mary, Mary, illustrated by Helen Craig; The Grumpalump; Sound City; Favourite Fairy Tales and Eat Up, Gemma as well Nine Ducks Nine, Lucy Anna and the Finders and The Cats of Tiffany Street, which she illustrated herself. Sarah Hayes is married with three children and lives in Oxfordshire. John Bendall-Brunello has illustrated a number of books for children, including When I Grow Bigger; Into the Castle, The Big Bad Mole's Coming, Yum Yum Yummy, and the non-fiction title My Goose Betsy.
